The LJ Hooker Group today announced the appointment of respected industry leader Campbell Dunoon as Head of New Zealand for its LJ Hooker and Harveys network of offices.

Mr Dunoon has joined after 10 years at Barfoot & Thompson and, before that, at Harcourts and Bayleys, where he had a strong track record in business development and delivering best practice.

Christine Mikhael, CEO of the LJ Hooker Group, said Mr Dunoon is known for his customer focus and his broad and deep understanding of the industry, business development and operations to maximise productivity, profitability and success.

At Barfoot, Mr Dunoon led an extensive team of real estate specialists and managed up to 9,000 auction and tender transactions per year.

“Campbell knows what it takes to create a business that attracts high performers and services a large volume of clients, which resonates strongly with our network,” Ms Mikhael said.

“For our business owners, he will be providing ongoing strategic and business planning support so they can achieve their growth ambitions and accelerate their success.

“He’ll also be responsible for the growth of our networks across the country by identifying offices that would thrive with our franchise offer and new markets for LJ Hooker and Harveys to enter.”

Mr Dunoon said he was excited about the vision and ambition of the LJ Hooker Group and looked forward to supporting business owners and their teams in LJ Hooker and Harveys offices.

“This role presents a remarkable opportunity to apply my years of experience in strategic real estate growth and distribution. It's a chance to shape the future of LJ Hooker and Harveys, two strong brands with immense potential,” he said.

“There is significant growth potential in Auckland, with sales volumes expected to increase by up to 20 per cent next year, and new, untapped regional areas to service tourist and holiday destinations.

“I look forward to contributing to our success in these exciting markets."

The appointment follows the promotion of Allaine Burkett to Head of Operations for New Zealand, who has been part of the team for five years in a role that has provided a pathway for her to define operational excellence and exceptional customer experiences.

Ms Mikhael said the leadership changes in the group will further strengthen LJ Hooker and Harveys in New Zealand.

"Campbell, Allaine and everyone in the local team works closely with their Australian counterparts, creating a strong alliance, shared ambitions, and, ultimately, delivering greater value for all," she said.

“Our offices are in growth mode, and market conditions have continued to improve in New Zealand. I’m looking forward to our future and what that will bring.”
