LJ Hooker Group Shows Support for Property Managers with Successful Shine Property Management Conference
LJ Hooker Group backs its property managers, and this was on display at LJ Hooker and Harveys recent property management conference, Shine, held in Auckland.
Since the government scrapped the Residential Property Managers Bill, which would have created a comprehensive regulatory regime for residential property managers, LJ Hooker Group has taken proactive steps to ensure its property managers remain educated and informed. The bill aimed to mandate licensing, training, and education requirements for residential property managers. In its absence, LJ Hooker Group is committed to upholding high standards within our network.
About two thirds of LJ Hooker and Harveys property managers attended the Shine conference. The day was designed to give property managers from across New Zealand the opportunity to network with each other and key suppliers. The goal was for them to leave educated, motivated and inspired.
The conference featured insightful updates from the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand and Tenancy.co.nz, along with a series of motivational speakers who provided valuable strategies for growth and well-being. These sessions aimed to equip our property managers with the knowledge and mindset to expand their rent rolls and maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
LJ Hooker Group Head of Network NZ Campbell Dunoon was thrilled with the success of the event and how valuable it was for our property managers.
"Shine was a fantastic opportunity for our property managers and business owners to come together, share ideas, and learn from industry experts. The high level of engagement and the positive energy throughout the event was truly inspiring. Our exhibitors also played a crucial role, showcasing the latest products and services that can enhance our property management practices."
We had a large number of suppliers show their support for our property managers. Some said it was the first time they had been to a property management conference and left feeling it was a success.
“Property managers are busy people, and they don’t always get the chance to come to events like this. It is important to ensure the day is filled with a lot of valuable opportunities. With evolving regulations and requirements, it is vital our team stay up to date and educated on how they can be the best property managers in the business,” Dunoon said.
Attendees travelled from all over New Zealand to participate in the conference, reflecting the strong sense of community and dedication within the LJ Hooker and Harveys network. Our property managers showed their support for this event, receiving a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 56 in our post event survey, which is considered an excellent result.
"We are thrilled with the success of Shine and the incredible feedback from our attendees. The support from our network and the high-quality presentations from our speakers have reinforced our commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and well-being among our property managers.
“We look forward to building on this success and continuing to support our property managers in their professional journey,” Dunoon concludes.
